Crime Remains Near 20-Year Low

Today, the FBI released their annual crime statistics, showing that the violent crime rate rose slightly, but continues to remain at nearly a 20-year low.

While any increase in violent crime is troubling and should be addressed, the statistics to be viewed in historical context.

The graphics below illustrate that 2015 was one of the safest years in decades, with crime rates at historic lows.
